Ensuring to fill their time slot during The Game Awards 2021 wisely, Perfect World Entertainment and Magic Design Studios revealed a cutesy rogue-lite that has players fight as a small grim reaper. In Have A Nice Death, players will assume the role of Death, the overworked CEO of the mega-corporation responsible for processing souls -- Death Incorporated.
As the company’s fearless leader, they will explore the darkly charming, procedurally- generated departments of the corporation’s headquarters to round up and rehabilitate rogue employees who have been ignoring company protocol and snatching up far too many souls on Earth. Getting the department bosses — also known as Sorrows — and their minions under control, however, is a difficult task and will require multiple runs to complete. Luckily, players will have an arsenal of weapons, spells, and special skills on hand to get the job done.
Have A Nice Death is set to release in Early Access on PC via Steam in March 2022. They are also planning to announce more platforms in the future as well. This was quite a game choice to reveal and it looks like a lot of fun! I’ll definitely be getting in on the early access to see if it plays as well as it looks like it will.
