Sony’s State of Play conference showcased plenty of new games, reveals, and trailers for already announced titles coming to PlayStation consoles and PC. With some exciting stuff being shown off, one of the last trailers of the show delighted PlayStation fans and got the action fanboy in me hyped. God Of War: Ragnarök from Sony Santa Monica showed off some stunning gameplay and characters in the new Story trailer that capped off a great show.
God of War: Ragnarök is the sequel to 2018’s God of War, the return of the titular franchise. In the previous game players hacked and slashed through Norse mythology and a few of their realms as Kratos and his son Atreus. Teaching his son to survive as they took his mother’s ashes to her home-realm, critics and fans of the games fell in love with the unexpected story of a dad and his boy brought together on a journey of grief, growth, and second chances.
The upcoming God of War: Ragnarök returns us to Kratos and Atreus and the world of Norse mythology, as Kratos appears to teach his son the family business… Killing the gods! While the overall story hasn’t been revealed completely, this new trailer definitely gives us some insight into what fans can expect in November.
