With a new Mortal Kombat game comes a whole new threat to the Earth realm. Usually the stories within this series aren’t very appealing and the true appeal of the game is on the actual gameplay that they continue to uphold. Mortal Kombat 11 by Warner Bros Interactive and NetherRealm Studios is looking to change that aspect.
Introducing a whole new character with a brand new power that we haven’t seen in the Mortal Kombat series yet, Mortal Kombat 11 is showing a whole new evil this time around. Featuring a glimpse of Kronika, the first female boss in Mortal Kombat’s history and the Keeper of Time and creator of existence. Check out the story prologue trailer:
This trailer seems to show a negative light on Raiden himself, despite knowing that he is doing what he believes is best for that which is good. His wrath is definitely borderline on the side of evil, but can also be considered just. The reveal of Kronika at the end doesn’t show us too much about her, but we do get a quick glimpse at her power. She is sure to be a tough fight when the time comes.
Mortal Kombat 11 is set to launch on April 23rd for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can unlock Shao Kahn and get access to the early Beta version by pre-ordering the game before March 28th.
