Updated: A new trailer has released for Troy: A Total War Saga. This officially supports previous leaks and speculations as to the setting of the next Total War game. The original tweet showing off the PC Gamer magazine cover has been taken down.
The Total War series jumps back to Homeric Times in its next game, apparently. There is currently no official announcement confirming the veracity of leaks and reports, but the news is as official as it can get otherwise. In July of this year, Creative Assembly filed for a trademark regarding the title Total War Saga: Troy. Late yesterday evening, though, Andy Kelly revealed the newest magazine cover for PC Gamer.
Seems hard to argue that Troy is going to be the setting for the next Total War game. From the text on the cover, it looks like gods and monsters might feature in the upcoming game, which isn’t much of a stretch given the contents of Total War: Warhammer.
Also, a forthcoming announcement is scheduled for tomorrow. If the artwork is any indication, we’ll have official confirmation of the new Total War epic very soon.
