WARRIORS OROCHI 4 ULTIMATE Is The Expansion We Didn't Know We Wanted

With the countless games out there that let you fight hordes of enemies, there is something about being able to defeat an entire crowd of soldiers in one massive combination of attacks. Thriving off of this aspect is the Warriors Orochi series, which made a comeback after a seven-year break in the game’s development. After the launch of Warriors Orochi 4 initially happened last year, many players were happy to jump back into the fantasy combat action on the battlefield, but the latest announcement for the series is something unexpected yet very much welcomed.

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced a Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate edition that will include a ton of new content from game modes to playable characters. This edition will be available as a single purchase item for new players to get the full experience, as well as a DLC option called “The Ultimate Upgrade Pack” for players who already have the game to enjoy. Some of the new content includes:

  • New Characters from multiple universes, such as Mother Earth Goddess: Gaia, God of the Underworld: Hades, Team NINJA’s own Ryu Hayabusa, and more bringing the total playable character count up to 170!

  • A new story and ending pursuing the truth of the world. Additionally, unique sub-scenarios will be available to reinforce the main story.

  • New features such as Infinity Mode and the Promotion system have been added.

  • New Sacred Treasures have been added and the ability to be used by other characters allowing players to create unique and powerful teams.

  • UI and control settings have been improved along with additional features to make gameplay easier.

The ultimate version of Warriors Orochi 4 will be available on February 14, 2020, for Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in both physical and digital versions. If you are going to be getting the Ultimate Upgrade Pack DLC, then this update will be digital-only. At least you don’t have to wait to start playing this one, you just have to wait for the Ultimate version to come out.
