In the original Pokemon Red and Blue, your rival is Professor Oak's grandson. As we all know (who didn't beat Pokemon back in the day) the big surprise when you defeat the Elite 4 is that there is one more challenger who beat them before you, and lo and behold you have one final matchup with your old rival from Pallet Town. This newest short from Pokemon Generations shows how his battles went down, since you already know how you got there.
While I like the animation, it seemed really weird that he used Kadabra in the first battle and then Pidgeotto in the second. Wouldn't it have been much easier to do that the other way around?
