Online WW1 FPS BEYOND THE WIRE Firing Out Of Early Access

Offworld Industries have announced that their online war game Beyond the Wire will be leaving early access and getting a full release at the end of the month, which will come with a heap of new content. The 50 vs 50 PVP shooter will feature a new player customization system with extra bits of period-appropriate gear, apparel, and decorations to earn for your soldier. There will also be new vehicles, including Canadian Autocars, as well as new flamethrowers to send your enemies reeling in terror.

New environmental and damage effects will be arriving on launch day too, as well as revised maps. Offworld also states that future updates will be coming for customization and faction options. There was already a large update back in May, which saw the introduction of the antipodean allies to reflect their contribution to the war effort, as well as new tanks and weapons to get to grips with.

Formerly in the sole hands of Redstone Interactive, Offworld Industries acquired the team after the success of their own FPS Squad, and now the two teams are working together on both titles. Beyond the Wire is published by Offworld Industries and will get its full release on Steam on August 31st. It will be available in English, French, German, and Simplified Chinese versions.
