New Trailer Out For Brutal Retro Shooter WARHAMMER 40,000: BOLTGUN

A brand new trailer has dropped for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, a Doom-style FPS set in the grimdark space crusade of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40K universe.

Published by Focus Entertainment and developed by Auroch Digital, Boltgun puts the player in the shoes of one of the Sternguard Veteran Space Marines, the most elite of elite troops.

The Forge World Graia has been overrun by the forces of chaos, and it's up to this walking war machine and his loyal servo skull sidekick to do the will of the Inquisition and carve his way through cultists, demons, and even some Chaos Space Marines.

The game takes heavy inspiration from the retro shooters of the past but brings in modern flow and convenience to make life easier. The gameplay is designed to feel modern and intuitive while keeping a classic aesthetic.

Players can get their hands on several iconic weapons from the 40K setting. As the title might suggest, the trusty boltgun will play a major part, but the brutal chainsword makes an appearance too. There's also the option to just use the marine's huge armoured body to his advantage.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is set to release on the 23rd of May, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
