Returning the classic style of horror games that the early days of Resident Evil and Silent Hill series brought us is something that many older horror fans have been looking for. Delivering on this are developers Dual Effect and Abstract Digital with Tormented Souls, which was announced with a teaser trailer a few months back. While we are still waiting on an official release date, we did get some exciting news from their publisher PQube.
It was originally announced that Tormented Souls would launch digitally on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, but now they have added the next-gen platforms PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. On top of this, they have confirmed a physical release for PS5, XBS, and Switch. For those who can’t wait and are looking for an interesting collectible, you can pre-order the game today on PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch and it will come with a unique Sun and Moon collectible coin that will be featured in the game.
Hopefully, we will get a new trailer and a release date for this title soon, but at least there are options available now for players who enjoy collectibles and physical copies of their games. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem they have an option for Xbox users to grab the pre-order offer though; at least not at this time. Until then, we will just have to wait for more news on this title, but at least it is confirmed for 2021.
