The idea of running a nursery can be a scary thought. It’s a job full of chaos and quick thinking. Would this work in a video game format? The people at Baby Corp and Forever Entertainment S.A. sure think so, and have released a demo of that concept to prove it, appropriately titled Baby Storm.
Baby Storm is as fun and hectic as the name suggests. The game is a cartoony babysitting game that consists of changing diapers, giving toys to rambunctious kids, and so much more in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Even with the short playtime, the demo tells the player exactly what the game’s about in the three levels that are provided.
The game takes place in a nursery and can be played with up to four people. The goal is simple; manage the needs of unruly children within a time limit while avoiding obstacles. Each level changes the game’s layout and gives the players new and engaging rooms to move around in. At first glance, it may seem like a game is directed toward younger audiences, but this is far from the case. Baby Storm requires task management skills and proper communication that can keep even adults on their toes.
Baby Storm’s demo is available now on PC via Steam and GOG, as well as the Nintendo Switch, with a full release date set for May 12th.
